Making money Online, Marketing

Making a considerable income online with internet marketing is far from easy. It takes time, effort and extensive research to make money online. Research is very important and knowing your customers is essential as well. People simple do not spend enough time doing research and getting to know their customers.

One of the first things you need to decide as an internet marketer, is which niche to pick. You do not want to pick a niche, where there is too much competition and too little potential customers. That is why doing the research is so important and you can choose from hundreds of little niches.

Once you have chosen your niche and you are happy with it, then you got to learn as much as you can about this niche. The more you know about your niche the more options, choices and opinions you can give, which is exactly what people like. They do not want you to direct them to your webpage and ask them to buy what ever you have for sale there.

If you give good reviews and plenty of information then people are more likely to buy. So it is essential to know what your customers want and offer them what ever they want. The more research you do the more you know what people in your specific niche want and the more money you can make.

A great way to get to know your potential customers is to visit forums. There are forums on every topic and if you spend plenty of time there, then you have a very good understanding of what people are looking for. Otherwise all the hard work you are doing to send people to your website or blog is worthless because you are not offering what they want.

When you find the people who have their credit card on the table and ready to buy then you can earn a lot of money. You want people who are ready to buy to visit your website, not just everyone. For example if only 100 people visit your website and 10 of them make a purchase then you are doing great. But if you send 1000 people to your site and only 2-3 make a purchase then so much of your work goes to waste, just because you did not do your research properly.

There are so many ways to make money online and people really have no idea how many opportunities there are. So that is why I decided to put together some of the best money making opportunities online for you. Everyone can make money online and so can you!

Marketing, Website Traffic

Marketing on the internet requires maintaining a steady stream of traffic to your site and a great source for this is social bookmarking sites. An ongoing ‘quest’ for any online business is how to get traffic and preferably the type that is targeted and free. One great source that is often overlooked is by using social bookmarks when circulating content on the internet. These sites are primarily used for the sharing of interesting online locations or information with others so why not promote your own? Well this is a great way to attract targeted website traffic but it must be done properly or your efforts will be wasted.

Here is a simple 3 step procedural guide to follow when using social bookmarks for attracting traffic when marketing on the internet.

Share Sites Other Than Yours

When sharing bookmarks you want to be sure that you share content other than just your own. Flagrantly promoting only your own content will quickly turn annoying to other site members. The sincerity behind your bookmark suggestions will then be called into question resulting in less people acknowledging any social bookmarks you may suggest.

Maintain a healthy mix of content and/or sites when bookmarking and keep the concentration of your own ‘work’ down around 15 percent or so.

Content Must Be Fresh and Current

When ‘suggesting’ any of your content or sites to other members only use the freshest and most interesting you may have to offer. It stands to reason that by consistently using ‘outdated’ or boring bookmarks will lead to you being labeled the same as a source of good information. Use only the best and freshest content of what you have got to offer.

Bookmark Only Content Not Site

Be careful when bookmarking any content to direct the bookmark to the page of the content itself and not to the site. Again common sense comes into play here that if you direct others to a site for a particular piece of content it may take them time to actually find it. Not many if any will be willing to take the time to dig around for information that has not been made readily available to them through the recommended link.

Social bookmarking sites if used correctly can be a terrific source of targeted website traffic online. Since these sites are used primarily for sharing interesting content with others it is not wise to appear to be always shamelessly promoting your own. And when you do bookmark your own content you always want it to be fresh and interesting. Therefore it is important when using social bookmarks to promote your own work that you keep the 3 rules we discussed here today in mind. By using this method correctly you now have a viable solution when pondering how to get traffic or at least more of it to any online location of your own choosing.

Marketing

Ann Sieg says “The wealthiest and most prosperous people in any field all have one thing in common: They know how to sell. They know how to sell themselves, their products, their services, and their ideas.” So quite naturally one can conclude that if one wants to be the wealthiest and prosperous, they need to learn how to sell. That’s what we are going to talk about in this second part of How To Sell You. I’m going to give you some tips explained to me by Curt Johnson, that can give you something to at least think about and hope to inspire you to act upon it. First things first, prospects all have the same questions about us. The very minute we (marketers) begin to speak on a product or service that we recommend, prospects begin to ask themselves, “Do I trust this person?” “Do I believe this person?” “Do they understand what I need/want?” “What do they want from me?” “What is in it for me? and “Is it worth it?” The number one reason why folks do not buy from you is because they do not know you or anything about you. Lets change that, and begin to sell ourselves. The best way to do that is to start yourself a blog. You can easily do this for free or very little in cost. Here are some tips on how to successfully sell yourself on your blog. Tip 1: Put a picture of yourself in the top left hand corner. Studies have shown that when prospects visit websites, they often look at the top left hand corner first, and then over to the right. You want your picture to be the first thing folks see visiting your site. And your picture should be professional. Tip 2: Put your name and your favorite quote right underneath your picture. Tip 3: Don’t fly solo. People like to feel like they are apart of something. A community, a group, whatever it is you are receiving help from. Put it out there. Let folks know that yes you can be their guide and go to person for questions, but also let them know that hey, I didn’t just make all this stuff up, that you in fact did learn it from other successful folks in your system, or community you communicate with. Tip 4: Testimonies
If you are just getting started, you may not have any testimonies, but soon as you do you should paste them on your blog. Tip 5: Add family pictures of your social side.
Adding pictures is a wonderful way to allow prospects into the human side of you. Allow them to get to know you. Tip 6: Industry – Celebrity Photos
If you have a picture with your upline member or someone who has mentored you, its cool to show that picture on your blog. If you have met any celebrities, same goes as well. We are building a portfolio of all about you here. If you do not have any of these, just add if/whenever you do. Tip 7: Add your awards
This may or may not apply to you, but if you have received some kind of award, let people know it. Put it on your blog. Tip 8: Add audio
Adding audio is a great way for folks to feel like they know you and to allow them to get to know you. There are tons of free tools out there that can help with this service. Tip 9: Add video
Again, we are branding you, selling you. So you want to have no guess work here. Show yourself. Have video’s of yourself or of showing your prospects something. Search engines love video, so if you can have video as one of the first things people see on your site, they will most likely watch the whole video. And each second a prospect stays on your site, google tracks that and give your site a great rating. Tip 10: Add a Signature
Adding your signature is a great way to secure some more professionalism to your site/blog. You can easily create one by scanning your signature and saving it as a picture file like jpeg. Once you have it, use it often. Tip 11: Create a slide show
As you build up pics on your blog, its nice to create a slide show with a little caption about the picture. Just a little way to jazz up your blog. Tip 12: Add your certifications/Credentials
This may or may not apply, but if you have any certifications and/or credentials put them on your blog. Tip 13: Have an “About Me” page on your blog.
If you are able, just create an about me page, and create a video just explaining to folks who you are, things you have done, who you’d like to be to them, and anything valuable you’d like to convey to your target audience. Or just write it. People like to know who they are talking to, who they are dealing with. Put yourself in the prospects mind for a moment and ask yourself, what would I like to know about a person that I was thinking about working with, and add that! Tip 14: Purchase a domain name.
Your blog should be a professional, and easy to remember domain. Purchasing a domain is highly recommended, given the fact that they are so reasonably priced (approximately $8 a year). It should be YourName.com or YourBusinessName.com or whatever your target market is like NetworkMarketersBlog.com. This shows professionalism, and you can still use a free blog platform and just forward your domain to that free platform blog. Tip 15: Have a professional email address associated with your domain name.
If you bought YourName.com then you should have a professional email address like YourFirstName@YourName.com. My blog is JasminAnderson.com, and my email address is jasmin@jasminanderson.com. Although I have a hotmail account that I still very much use, I still created my professional email account and I have all my professional emails forwarded to my hotmail account. And you can do the same for your desired email account. But giving out a hotmail or yahoo or gmail email account is frowned upon and does not exert professionalism. And thats what we want to be, professional. Tip 16: Tell a Story. Tell Your Story. Tell Stories.
People love a great story, but more importantly you want to show and tell people who you are. The key to keep in mind is that YOU are your business, not your MLM. In other words, it isn’t enough for your opportunity to be different, YOU have to be different. You have to give your prospects a reason for why they should work with you, or buy from you instead of the next guy. The more unique you are, the more valuable you are, to yourself, to the prospect, to everyone.

Marketing

The much anticipated fact that all businesses will one day turn online is almost a reality. This means that using the internet to do your business and earn while sitting at home has become much easier, reliable and hopefully cheaper. As a business person, you must therefore scale up your options to include interactive marketing online options. This will automatically catapult your business to the next level. In other worlds, a visionary business person should position him/herself in a way that he will enjoy the full benefits of online business.

One easy way that has proved to be an effective but affordable way of marketing is the use of e-newsletters. Such kind of letters should be linked to your website such that at a simple click your site opens. This is an extremely powerful strategy because it a relationship building tool which can turn strangers into friends and eventually into customers.

But you must understand that today, everyone is in a hurry especially when reading newsletters. This means that you must take into account the amount of time you expect a person to spend reading the letter. Therefore, try keeping it short and breaking each section into smaller, easy to read segments. This should also be accompanied by bold headlines which are eye catching and encouraging the reader to stop for a moment and think over it.

When doing online marketing, always remember to include a client who has achieved great results by using your products. Remember, it is more costly to lie. Try to be as realistic as possible.
